Snowy Tracks with a Six-Foot Stride Near Pembroke
In December 2024, a deer hunter and his nephew came across a line of oversized tracks in fresh snow near Pembroke, about 24 miles east of Buffalo. The prints showed a stride of roughly six feet, longer than a sprinting human could manage in over a foot of snow, and the pair followed the trail for more than a mile before losing it at a property line. BFRO’s investigator ruled out moose and pointed to the straight, tightrope style gait pattern that keeps showing up in credible trackway reports. The witness also recalled a strange teepee like structure he’d noticed in the same area roughly a decade earlier, something he hadn’t thought much of until finding these tracks. It’s a solid Class B case out of Genesee County.
